FAQ
Q. Who is Bumble?
A. Bumble is a caricature of myself. Years ago I was actively brewing beer, roasting coffee, keeping bees and ever searching for more DIY fun. All of these scratched a deep itch to get closer to the source of our refined goods. I fantasized opening a store that equipped and taught people to embrace these types of hobbies. My wife and her mother spent a summer afternoon while I was engaged in said hobbies creating a "brand" of sorts for everything we produced. Bumble's Brew, Bumble's Bees, and Bumble's Boast were at the top of said list. We never imagined any aspect of that dream would materialize, but Bumble forever had a place in my heart.

Q. How should I store my coffee?
A. Because our coffee is so fresh, and intended to be brewed within a couple of weeks, this does not need to be a major consideration. For maximum freshness, the best thing you can do is to only grind immediately prior to brewing. Also store coffee in a cool dry place. Freezing or refrigerating coffee does slow oxidation, but temperature changes often cause condensation which easily does more harm than the freezer does good.

Q. Do you sell ground coffee?
A. We sure could, but that would undermine our philosophy. If you were thinking about improving your coffee by buying it fresh roasted, do yourself a favor and invest in a coffee grinder (burr grinders are heavily preferred). This reasonable investment is the greatest coffee investment you can make. The difference between whole bean supermarket coffee ground immediately prior to brewing, and pre-ground supermarket coffee is remarkable and the first step towards improving your coffee at home. Your next step can be ordering fresh roasted coffee from us.
